Mobile Client Architecture

چکیده

Choosing appropriate client architectures is a hotly debated topic of late. Having been party to these debates and also to implementations using all three approaches, it is evident that some of the perceptions surrounding this debate don’t conform to reality. During actual implementation, particularly since the Hybrid approach is a mix of the two other approaches, some benefits and drawbacks intertwine. Additionally, one must view this decision from the multidimensional prism of development cost, TCO, multiplatform support, performance, consumer perceptions, longevity, maintainability and brand equity (in case of consumer facing applications). Since marginal adoption is the price one pays for selecting the wrong architecture, it is critically important to choose wisely.
